GUZ BOX design + audio added 3 new photos.
During the first week of December 2018, GUZ BOX design + audio provided audio support for the annual National Training Event (NTE) event for the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES) held at Exhibition Park in Canberra(EPIC), ACT Australia.
As in previous years, GUZ BOX design + audio provided much of the source equipment for the 5-day event including all microphones, Sennheiser wireless systems and RF management, and some additional front-fill audio systems. The MLA Compact system, additional audio components, IEM systems, staging, trussing, rigging, a large LED screen feature wall, professional lighting systems + the many heavy-duty drapes required for this event were all supplied and installed by EI Productions.
Additional technical services including large-screen projection systems, production cameras and video switching + crew were provided by PLP.
A late update on registrations required a redesign of the seating configuration and audio systems to cater for an additional 200 attendees. A Martin Audio Ltd system had already been specified for the project with a single hang of 10 x MLA Compact elements and 2 x DSX subwoofer enclosures located under the stage to provide audio throughout the venue.
Martin Audio’s proprietary Display software was used to reconfigure the supplied FOH system to cover the revised seating area. Additional acoustic analysis of the audio system solution was carried out using EASE (AURA), acoustic modelling software developed by AFMG, Berlin.
The installed system is required to provide high quality speech intelligibility, with capacity to support contemporary amplified music reproduction for up to 2000 attendees. The MLA Compact system allows for accurate control of loudspeaker energy over the seating areas while minimising spill to stage and other surfaces in this difficult acoustic environment.

EASE Training Singapore 2018: The Singapore EASE training event was held this week at the d&b audiotechnik Asia Pacific training facility with attendees coming from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan. The three-day program was spent exploring AFMG's EASE software, from basic model construction to the more advanced features of the software including the Ray Tracing, AURA and Auralization modules. An evening session on Day 2 provided discussion, demonstrations and measurement of interference effects in loudspeakers, intelligibility, reverberation times + background noise and the effect of delay on speech. As a special treat on Day 3, Gert Sanner from d&b Audiotechnik Asia Pacific, provided a demonstration of the d&b Soundscape system. This is an exciting new technology to experience playback audio + live performances and is scalable from smaller performance spaces to larger outdoor productions + events. The support provided by d&b audiotechnik Asia Pacific for this event has been fantastic and it's great to provide the training in a well-equipment venue. A special thank you to all involved.

GUZ BOX design + audio supplied another fantastic speaker + case combo to a customer at the end of last week.
The custom-manufactured freight case from Cases Com Au was supplied with Hexapanel - a strong + lightweight material. The case is very well constructed with protection all round and supplied with heavy-duty castors.
The Acoustic Technologies - AT Professional SCX25A active loudspeaker was also custom-manufactured to save weight. The premium quality coaxial 12" loudspeaker driver is powered by Powersoft Class D Amplifier module with DSP.
